Kids Café – last of day of term

Well we are almost at the end of the school year. We have one more kids café to go...this time for the benefit of Oak class. FOPS felt, however, that we may all be a bit fed up with cake….so the last kids café will be ice creams and ice lollies!
As usual it will be in the village hall, and we will also be selling second hand uniform for the final time. So please come and join us to celebrate the end of the year…..what better way to start the summer hols than with an ice cream!

Painting of Payhembury Provisions Saturday 20th July 2pm

Just a quick reminder that parents are invited to put on their painting clothes, pick up a paintbrush and spend an hour or two helping to spruce up the outside of Payhembury Provisions. As I’m sure many of you saw in the newsletter the shop has been extremely generous in donating £2,700 towards our lap top appeal so as a thank you with have offered some man/woman power! We do appreciate that many of you will have already headed out of Payhembury for the summer holidays…but for those left…even an hour would really help…thank you!

Friends of Payhembury School --

FOPS is made up of all those parents and carers connected with school and is organised through a committee made up of parents/carers. The committee makes decisions about the events and takes care of the formal aspects but rely on everyone else to get involved. We are extremely lucky to have such a great team at Payhembury and all the parents/carers and children are always willing to get stuck in and help out.

Some of our regular events include the Christmas Fair, May Day Fair, ice cream sales after school, wild area working days (with lots of yummy cake) and helping out generally with school as and when we are needed.

Through fundraising events FOPS raise money for fantastic school trips as well as things like the outdoor shelter, scooters, bike racks, welly racks, new outdoor play area and much more. We also organise social events for parents/carers and children throughout the year.

As the school continues to thrive there are more and more people willing and able to help and in doing so make FOPS a successful and fun group to be part of. We look forward to welcoming you to our amazing school and to FOPs.
