Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is additional funding given to state-funded schools in England to raise the attainment of pupils who qualify and close the gap between them and their peers. The school will receive up to £1,320 (2019-20) per qualifying pupil. This can add up to a lot of extra funding for the school, which can be used to help children fulfil their potential as they grow older.

There are 4 ways to qualify for pupil premium:

  1. Free school meal eligibility including those who are no longer eligible for FSM, but who have been eligible at some point in the last 6 years
  2. Service children
    3. Children adopted from care, or where there is a special guardianship order and residence order
    4. Children in care

Any qualifying family that registers their eligibility (based on the free school meal criteria) will help raise pupil premium money for the school.
